Dakine Garden Women’s Backpack – Stylish Mid-Size – Laptop Sleeve – 20 L

Dakine Garden Women’s Backpack – Stylish Mid-Size – Laptop Sleeve – 20 L

  1. The Garden design includes a dedicated laptop sleeve that fits most 15in laptops.
  2. ORGANIZATION FEATURES — Savvy students appreciate the organizer pocket for all pens, pencils and smaller accessories.
  3. UNIQUE PRINTS AND COLORS — The Garden is offered in a wide selection of our most popular colors for women.
  4. The Garden features a roomy main compartment with a secure laptop sleeve, an organizer pocket, a fleece-lined sunglass pocket, plus a low-profile front zippered pocket and dual mesh side pockets for water bottles.
  5. If your Dakine bag gets dirty, we recommend hand washing with mild soap (like Nikwax Tech Wash), cold water and a soft bristle brush.
  6. If hand washing is not going to do the trick, use a front loader washing machine.
  7. To ensure your backpack doesn't get tangled, place inside a pillowcase or mesh bag before washing.
  8. Always use cold water, mild soap and run on a gentle cycle.
  9. Hang to dry in a warm but shady place, ensuring both inside and out are dry before storing.
  10. I look for durability but also lots of pockets and enough room to carry what I need.
  11. I am able to fit my 15" laptop, a textbook and countless medicines, makeup bags, etc.
  12. I used to exclusively use north face's line for backpacks since they last forever, but my backpack weighed so much when full.
  13. I love the extra water bottle side pockets and the sunglasses pocket.
  14. I’m a nursing student which means I need to carry a LOT with me at any given time.
  15. This fits three big books, a 15-17 inch laptop, has a nice compartment for sunglasses, bottle holder on both sides, and two smaller front compartments to help you get organized.
  16. It’s also great for travel as it will fit under an airplane seat.
  17. The straps are sturdy and don’t dig into your shoulders like some bags do.
  18. The first time I used it I loaded a hardcover book, notebook, Samsung tablet, rain jacket and a fleece, toiletries bag, wallet, phone, sunglasses in a large case, small folding umbrella, and 24 oz water bottle [on the outside].
  19. The straps and back panel are padded and comfortable, however this is not designed for hiking long distances or hauling camping supplies.
  20. I didn't think that I would like the color but it brightens the interior so that you can more easily see the contents of the bag.
  21. I love the fleece lined pocket for my phone and/or my big sunglasses, and the exterior water bottle holder.
  22. The smaller pocket on the front is perfect for a wallet, and/or other small essentials.
  23. I have not had any issues with seams coming apart nor zippers failing, It seems sturdy and well-made.
  24. I use it as my purse since 1) I don't like carrying totes 2) I prefer to have my hands free 3) I like/need compartments.
  25. I use to carry a nifty messenger bag I bought from etsy but it got filled up quite easily with everything I felt I needed to carry and hurt my shoulder after some time.
  26. I'm 5'5 ft or 165cm and it doesn't overwhelm me nor does it look like I'm wearing a child's bag.
  27. Three (3) stars for durability, sizse and compartments.
  28. The very front for my wallet, mesh sides for water bottle and phone, smaller pocket for Kleenex, pens, chapstick, etc.
  29. The laptop section is a nice divider in biggest section.
  30. I recommended it to my mom for international travel and she loved it too.
  31. I use it as a diaper bag, the laptop sleeve makes for a great divider and there is plenty of space for diapers, wipes and lots of snacks plus a few toys.
  32. The front pocket is great for organizing Mommy's things and the water bottle pockets on the sides are so great for easy access.
  33. The sunglasses pocket is nice too, it's fleece lined to prevent scratching and is easy to access too.
  34. The only negatives about this bag is that it gets quite hot on my back when wearing in warm/hot weather and it doesn't have a chest strap, this isn't a problem for everyday use but would be nice when I'm wearing my backpack all day (on a trip to the zoo etc).
  35. You may not want to carry a laptop with it unless it is very light (macbook air, microsoft surface, etc) and you use sleeves for its protection!
  36. Overall, for carrying a couple of books, a pencil case, her hand cream and other personal stuff, this backpack works great!
  37. Compared to jansport backpacks, the straps are much more comfortable and well-cushioned.
  38. It fits my electronics, laptop, books, etc in the main compartment quite nicely.
  39. I like how they can be filled up with books and not look like a bomb went off inside.
  40. Extra pockets on outside work very well for personal items.
  41. Feels like lower quality fabric than im used to from dakine.
  42. Plenty of room & lots of different compartments for putting items.
  43. Was packed into some plastic wrap usually used for food wrapping.

Dakine Heli Pro Backpack

Dakine Heli Pro Backpack

  1. I got the women's specific version, as I'm a female skier.
  2. I loved the bag: it had pockets, hydration compatible, ski or board carry, etc.
  3. However, the shoulder straps are sewn to the bag so close together on the women's version that even with my ski gear on, the pressure from unforgivingly narrow straps made it uncomfortable at the neck for me and therefore a no go.
  4. Maybe the men's version is better or wider at the strap attachment up top?
  5. The only other thing that would make this pack ideal is having stretch mesh side pockets.
  6. Otherwise, the quality was as expected but I must be one of the few that finds the women's version absolutely uncomfortable to wear whether with regular clothes or ski gear.
  7. Just keep in mind on the women's Heli Pro, the shoulder straps attached at the top of the pack have maybe 2 or 3 inches between them, and nothing I did could make it comfortable to wear, even with a light load.
  8. Another note: my frameless Bolle goggles (about like the Smith I/O) just barely fit in the goggle pocket.
  9. TLDR; the women's version just isn't ideal for most women who ski or board due to how narrow the straps are at the top attachment.
  10. I may try the men's version and see if it's any better.
  11. Either way, some kind of load lifters or strap adjustment would be fantastic, if Dakine is paying attention.
  12. I like the features of this product - the large storage pockets, the goggle pocket, the hydration capability, etc.
  13. Just one more thing it really needs - a pass through from the main pocket (where you store the hydration bladder) into a shoulder strap.
  14. That is one thing I love about the Camelbak this one is replacing.
  15. It just doesn't seem as efficient or safe to have to pass the water tube through an open zipper at the top of the main compartment.
  16. There is a much smaller pocket near the should strap, that appears to hold a strap used to tether your skis when using it for hiking with them.
  17. I am thinking I can rip the seam open in this smaller pocket and feed the tube out through that - but it still involves leaving a zipper partially open, with the risk of getting snow inside, or having other things come out.
  18. Quality of workmanship is high, and I am sure I will use this bag for many years to come.
  19. I also use it for hiking/fishing and it hasn't failed me yet.
  20. Very good for school with an assortment of pockets and a lined pocket to protect your phone.
  21. Also great for taking on the mountain, you can strap your board or skis in.
  22. I was hesitant since there was no water bottle holder but haven't found that it bothered me at all.
  23. You can either carry your water or pop it in the front pocket which is huge.
  24. Fits great over your jacket and once clipped on it doesn't feel like you are wearing a backpack.
  25. Also used the snowboard carry feature and it was great as well.
  26. It has a little hole for the water bladder, and was a good size, enabling me to wear it on a chairlift.
  27. It stays slim even with lost of stuff inside, which is what I wanted and is very light.
  28. The sunglasses pocket is great, and it has lots of storage options.
  29. The bag fits alot into it nicely while still being attractive.
  30. Stayed close to my body so that only when riding the lifts did I realize it was on.
  31. I also use this as a utility backpack if I am going to stay overnight somewhere it is a great weekend pack.
  32. The only downside is that it doesn't have as much room as I thought it would.
  33. I do wish that it were bigger, I had been hoping to use it as a weekender bag but it's really not big enough.
  34. Very sturdy and durable with good features for everyday activities.
